Patients with gender incongruence (MtF) usually get some breast development from long-term hormone therapy.  Most usually develop an “A” cup size breast from this therapy, although occasionally the breasts can grow larger.

Since the breast size obtained with the hormone therapy is not usually the desired one, patients must consider the breast augmentation surgery. This surgery consists in inserting silicone implants to enlarge the size and improve the shape of the breasts.
