Breast Augmentation
Is the surgery that increases breast size, generally by using implants.
Breast implants are bags made of silicone and filled with silicone gel or saline. In Colombia, silicone gel is more frequently used because it gives a more natural texture.
There are several ways to insert the implants. These are:
- Periareolar incision: through the upper or lower edge of the areola.
- Infra-mammary incision: when the incision is placed in the inferior fold of the breast.
- Axillar incision: through the second axillary fold.
